Name | CARBON FIBER |
Synonyms | cabon fibre CARBON FIBER |
Molecular Formula | C |
Carbon fiber is mainly prepared from polyacrylonitrile fiber and asphalt fiber.
When preparing carbon fiber from polyacrylonitrile, the polyacrylonitrile fiber is first oxidized at 200~250 ℃ under tensile stress. Then carbonization treatment is carried out in an inert atmosphere of 800~1600 ℃ to obtain high-strength carbon fiber with graphite structure. Finally, the fiber is further heat-treated at 2500~3000 ℃ to make the graphite crystal structure in the fiber oriented along the fiber direction, and graphite fiber can be prepared.
The asphalt cracked by crude oil is directly melted and spun, subjected to insolubility treatment at 150~400 ℃, and then carbonized in inert atmosphere at 800~1200 ℃ to obtain carbon fiber. After high temperature graphitization treatment in inert atmosphere of 1500~2800 ℃, graphite fiber is obtained.
